Is This You?

  • You've been active in the Haystack community for at least 6 months
  • You've shared your work publicly - blog posts, talks, tutorials, Discord discussions, or real-world projects
  • You contribute regularly - not occasionally or one-off
  • You're building or thinking about real-world RAG and agentic systems - not just demos - and are interested in how AI moves into production
  • You care about open-source AI, are passionate about Haystack, and enjoy helping others

We welcome people with different strengths - builders, public speakers, writers, educators, and community helpers. What matters most is that you're actively contributing to the Haystack ecosystem and want to help others build real-world AI systems. We also aim to represent communities across different regions and backgrounds.

What You Get

Collaborate with the Haystack Core Team

Get direct access to the Haystack engineers - from early previews to feedback on what you're building.

Support for Talks, Workshops, and Meetups

Running a meetup or speaking at a conference? We'll support you - from local events to larger stages.

Travel Support

If there are opportunities to connect with and grow the community, but travel costs are a barrier, bring it up - we'll see how we can help.

Amplify Your Work

We amplify your work, posts, talks, and tutorials through Haystack's channels and programs to help your work reach more builders.

This isn't an exhaustive list - it's just a starting point. If you have an idea for how we can support your work, bring it up. We'd rather find something that actually helps than stick to a fixed menu.

Common Questions

Do I need to be a professional developer?

No. You don't need to be a professional developer. But we do look for people actively building, contributing, or teaching others how to use Haystack - especially in real-world RAG or agentic systems. Contribution type matters less than consistency, depth, and genuine engagement.

Can I represent other projects too?

Yes. Being part of other ambassador programs is fine. We just ask that there's no direct business conflict with deepset.

How often are applications reviewed?

Quarterly. You'll hear back within a few weeks of each review cycle. If the timing doesn't work out, you're welcome to reapply.

What's the time commitment?

There's no fixed minimum. We look for regular, sustained activity - not a specific number of hours per month.

What if I'm not in a major tech hub?

Geography isn't a barrier. Haystack users are everywhere - and there are opportunities to grow the community in many places. Whether that's online or in your local ecosystem, we want to support people building and connecting others around the world.

Is there any cost to join?

None. The program is free - we provide support, not the other way around.
